Can my doctor join the CIGNA HealthCare provider network? If your doctor meets our credential standards and is interested in becoming a participating CIGNA HealthCare physician, he or she can call our Provider Relations department or e-mail us to obtain more information on how to join our network. What if I'm in the middle of treatment when I join a CIGNA HealthCare plan and my current doctor isn't in your network? Your CIGNA HealthCare physician will review your medical history and work with you to complete your current treatment. You can also call Customer Service and ask for a review of your case by the health plan's medical director. If the medical director believes it's in your best interest to continue seeing your current doctor to complete your treatment, your health services will be covered under the terms of your new CIGNA HealthCare plan. |
